Peter C. Akerley, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Peter C. Akerley is one of the founders and principals of the Erdene group of companies and has held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer and Director of Erdene Resource Development Corp. (TSX listed) since March 2003.

Since becoming a public company in March of 2004, Erdene has successfully raised in excess of $50 million and today is well funded with advanced projects in three countries. Mr. Akerley has 24 years’ experience in the mining and mineral exploration business carrying out precious and base metal exploration in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Guyana, Mongolia and the Philippines as well as extensive work with the Rio Tinto Group of companies involved in North American Industrial mineral exploration and project development. His work in Mongolia began in the mid-90’s during which time he was involved in managing a country-wide regional exploration program providing the background for an eventual initial public offering of Erdene. Mr. Akerley has also been President of BRM Exploration Ltd., a mineral exploration consulting company providing geologic exploration and managerial services to junior and senior exploration and mining companies globally. He is also a Director of Temex Resources Corp.

Mr. Akerley holds a BSc (Geology) from Saint Mary's University in Halifax.

Kenneth W. MacDonald, Vice President Business Strategy, CFO and Director

Ken W. MacDonald was appointed Vice President Business Strategy in September 2007. He previously held the positions of Vice President North America and Vice President Finance beginning March 2003. Mr. MacDonald is also the Chief Financial Officer of Erdene, a position he has held since March 2003. He has been a director of the company since February 2003.

In February 2009, Mr. MacDonald was appointed President and CEO of the Company’s controlled subsidiary, Advanced Primary Minerals Corporation. From September 1992, Mr. MacDonald has also been the President and owner of Fisher Transport Limited, a specialized transport company. In addition, he was the Vice President of Finance for Kaoclay Resources Inc. from 1996 to June 2006. Prior to 1985, Mr. MacDonald, a chartered accountant, was a senior manager with one of Canada’s major accounting firms. From 1985 to September 1992, he was vice president finance with public and private corporations in the resource sector.

Mr. MacDonald graduated from St. Mary's University in 1977 with a BCom and received his chartered accountant designation in 1980.

J.C. (Chris) Cowan, Vice President Asia and Director

J. C. (Chris) Cowan was appointed Vice President Asia in June 2006. Mr. Cowan is a Co- Managing Director of Erdene Mongol XXK, a wholly owned Mongolian subsidiary. He has been a director of the company since February 2003.

Mr. Cowan has acted as a minerals consultant, providing services to exploration and mining companies world-wide since 1990. He previously spent 28 years with Falconbridge Limited in a variety of senior management and board positions including President and Director of New Pascalis Mines Ltd. from 1984 to 1990; Vice-President and Director of New Quebec Raglan Mines Ltd., between 1981 and 1990; Chairman of the Board of Indusmin Ltd., from 1984 to 1990; President, CEO and Director of United Keno Hill Mines Ltd., between 1981 and 1990; and President of Wesfrob Mining Division, from 1981 to 1983. Mr. Cowan has also been responsible for the technical direction of Falconbridge's worldwide surface and mining exploration as well as exploration manager in Southeast Asia and Chief Geologist for Sudbury Operations.

Mr. Cowan, holds a Masters of Science degree (Geology), and is a member of the Professional Engineer Society of Ontario. He has over 40 years of experience in mining and mineral exploration.

Mark R. Davies, Vice President, ERD Aggregate Corp

Mark Davies was appointed the Vice President of Erdene Materials in September 2007 and is based in the Erdene satellite office in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mr. Davies has over 20 years of experience in the construction aggregate business, most recently focused in the growing south-eastern U.S. market. His expertise is in the areas of exploration (both domestic and international), permitting, design, operations, contract negotiations and environmental compliance

Mr. Davies is a certified professional geologist, graduated with a BSc Geology from the University of South Carolina in 1984 and obtained his MBA from Florida Atlantic University in 2007.

Michael MacDonald, Director of Exploration, Mongolia

Michael MacDonald was hired and appointed the Director of Exploration, Mongolia in September 2011. Mr. MacDonald will be responsible for the design and implementation of Mongolia programs, dealing with exploration, development, and management, including working with various government agencies in Mongolia as they relate to Erdene’s land holdings and future interests.

Mr. MacDonald has previous mineral exploration experience in Mongolia, having worked with Erdene’s principals, Mr. Peter Akerley and Mr. Chris Cowan in the mid-1990’s as part of the largest regional exploration program completed by a foreign, western-based, exploration company up to that time. Prior to joining Erdene, Mr. MacDonald held the position of Executive Director of the Mineral Resources Branch for the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada. In this capacity, he was in charge of co-ordinating policy and planning to guide the development, management, conservation and protection of Nova Scotia’s mineral resources.

Mr. MacDonald obtained a BSc (Hons) in Geology from St. Francis Xavier University in 1977 and an MSc in Geology from Dalhousie University in 1982.

Michael X. Gillis, Director of Operations, Mongolia

Michael Gillis was appointed the Director of Operations, Mongolia in 2010 in addition to his position as Director of Business Operations to which he was appointed in March 2006. Prior to this, Mr. Gillis was Erdene's Corporate Development Manager, a position he held since joining the company in early 2004. Mr. Gillis has over 25 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry in increasingly senior project and corporate management positions. From 1996 to 2002, he was a project geologist and Land Manager for Kaoclay Resources Inc.

Mr. Gillis obtained his BSc (Hons) in Geology from St. Francis Xavier University in 1985.

Michael A. O’Keefe, Director of Finance

Michael O'Keefe has been Director of Finance since he joined the company in 2005. In 2009, Mr. O’Keefe was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Company’s controlled subsidiary, Advanced Primary Minerals Corporation.

Mr. O'Keefe has extensive experience in senior finance positions in both public and private companies and was part of the senior management team for one of the "50 Best Managed" private companies in Canada before joining Erdene's management team.

Mr. O'Keefe obtained his BBA (Accounting) from St Francis Xavier University in 1993, received his accounting designation (CMA) in 1997, and his MBA from Saint Mary's University in 2006.

D. Suzan Frazer, Corporate Secretary

Suzan Frazer has been Corporate Secretary since March 2003.

Ms. Frazer is a partner of the Halifax office of the law firm, McInnes Cooper. She has been practicing corporate law for over 25 years and is experienced in representing public and private companies in the junior resource sector.

Ms. Frazer's experience includes public offerings and private placements under securities legislation, stock exchange listings, take-over bids, mergers, acquisitions, plans of arrangement and compliance with the continuous disclosure and other requirements of securities legislation.
